THIS WONDERFUL AFRICAN PRESIDENTIAL COUPLE HAS CATEGORICALLY REFUSED TO BE THE PUPPETS OF THE WEST.

The beautiful, progressive, admirable, and respectable presidential couple: President Laurent Gbagbo and First Lady Simone Ehivet Gbagbo. They are the presidential couple from Côte d'Ivoire ( Ivory Coast), west Africa. They were overthrown on April 11,2011 by France with the assistance of U.N., and USA.They don't care about money. They care about their people. They refuse to be the puppets. This is why the West ( USA and France ) doesn't like them.This is why they have built the widest base of support in Côte d'Ivoire compared to any other president. They are simultaneously passionate and compassionate always about tackling the enormous task at hands for the development of their Nation. They are not cowards as most African presidential couples. This is why they have been vilified by the Western media for opposing the abusive exploitation of their country's resources.

They know that a great leader is the one who leads by showing the example because responsibility is the fundamental price of greatness. They only asked for the respect of their country and people, the equitable sharing of the resources of their country, and the freedom of doing business with any nation their country wants to. They never have the temptation to leave their very rich and beautiful country to go to USA, France, Cayman Islands, UK, Canada, Switzerland, etc to buy properties. Anytime they want to take vacations, they visit their villages, or others beautiful sanctuaries of their beloved homeland. They don't have any bank accounts in Switzerland, nor in Cayman Islands. ICC prosecutor has been traveling all over the world to see if they have stolen money and keep in the foreign banks, she did not find anything. Nada! Rien! When they want to receive a medical treatment, they don't fly to Europe or America in private jet. They stay in their homeland to be treated by the national doctors.

While France has created a rebellion led by their local nincompoops to destabilize their country in order to oust them, this wonderful presidential couple has tried to avoid an all-out " civil" war because they knew that it will have a direct consequence on everybody and especially the most vulnerable people. This is President Laurent Gbagbo has always sought for peaceful means to solve the problem with his famous phrase: "Please, let's sit down and let’s solve it through dialogue".
This beautiful couple is in prison for defending Africa. And they are willing to die for their homeland. They haven't given up the fight and they will never give up the fight for the real liberation of their country and Africa in general.

Like them, several thousands of political prisoners languish in Côte d'Ivoire’s gulag for standing up against the invasion of their country. Many of their family members, closed friends, political party members and even people who don't have anytime to do with politic or don't have anything to do with them, but just because from the same region have been persecuted, arrested, falsely charged, prosecuted and convicted for alleged crimes they didn’t commit. Despite all the mistreatment they have endured, the couple still standing to carry the fight for the freedom of their homeland. They have relished a clear mission and their ever-loyal people are following them in this fight.

This African presidential couple is in prison because they have developed programs for the industrialization in long term of their country and the increasing of trade exchange between their country and others African countries. Did you say the United States of Africa? They are in prison because they were implementing actions to drop the colonial "currency" called Franc CFA and adopted a new sovereign currency. They are in prison because they had decided not to PAY RENT TO FRANCE for using the presidential palace of their own country. They were questioning France for that. They are in prison because they were joining the late Muammar Khaddafi for the creation of the one African currency, the establishment of the African bank, the launching of several African telecommunication satellites, and many of African continental projects.

The presidential African couple here has been removed in power by the Western governments and their corporations by building a propaganda that: " Laurent Gbagbo has lost the elections, and he did not want to step down". They have temporarily succeeded in convincing many people around the world with their false accusation against President Laurent Gbagbo as a "dictator",and a "xenophobe". As the say goes: "when you want to drown your dog, you accuse this dog of getting affected by rage". President Laurent Gbagbo and First Lady Simone Ehivet Gbagbo are the most hated African presidential couple because they have categorically refused to be the puppets of the West. That's the bottom line. And nothing else. But they are determined to keep fighting for the true independence and sovereignty of their country even at the cost of their lives. Freedom is not given, but it is taken.
